6/22/2023 0 Comments Foot arch pain snowboarding![]() ![]() Every few years I revisit this issue and go try soft boots again. I get pain in my instep from the instep strap on the snowboard bindings, plus my feet get sore and tired from moving around so much (yes, I've had good, stiff, snug-fitting soft boots before). I'm 5'10", 195lbs, an expert skier and snowboarder.Įvery time I've used soft snowboard boots, my feet have been in pain. It was repaired, but is now notably larger (volume) than my other ankle/heel. I'm not sure this solution will be best for you, but here's my situation. Is a custom footbed the way to go? Would a pair of superfeet be the solution? The reason my feet hurt so bad is when I'm snowboarding heel side or toe side it appears my flat feet can't handle the bending and so it starts to ache and then have intense burning at those spots. I'm going to Vail to ski for 8 days in December and need your help. However, even though its permananetly swollen from scar tissue it feels pretty stable. I also 11 months ago tore 7 ligaments in my ankle. I no longer have those.įast Forward to today, I'm 21, and have wide flat feet with no arches and pretty bad pronation. ![]() I even bought $200 snowboard boots that were supposed to be great for comfort. The burning inside of my feet was the most intense feeling I remember. I was skiing/snowboarding from about the age of 8 to 15, where in my last year, I had such foot pain after just riding two slopes that I had to quit for the day. I have came to this forum hoping that you guys who are pro's in snowboarding/skiing tech can help me. ![]()
